Individual counseling for adults
A Quiet Place to Sort Through What Feels Heavy
You do not need a polished explanation before you begin. Bring the worry, anger, discouragement, stress, or uncertainty exactly as it is.

01 · You do not need a crisis
Reasons adults decide to start counseling
Sometimes a recognizable event — a loss, a relationship change, a work problem, a health concern — has disrupted life. At other times nothing looks wrong from the outside, yet worry, anger, exhaustion, or self-doubt has become hard to carry.
Counseling helps you examine how thoughts, emotions, decisions, and relationships influence one another, and distinguish what is within your control from what must be accepted or approached differently.
- Speak honestly without being judged
- Organize what feels tangled
- Understand the problem accurately
02 · A collaborative process
Practical work, shaped around you
Dr. Weld begins by learning what brings you in and what you hope will be different — and by understanding the strengths and resources you already have. Problems deserve attention, but they are not the entirety of a person.
The work may involve identifying unhelpful thought patterns, practicing emotional regulation, strengthening boundaries, preparing for a difficult conversation, or trying a new behavior between sessions.
- Skills you can use outside the room
- Realistic between-session practice
- Goals you help set and revise

Faith included only when you want it
For adults seeking Christian counseling in Tucson, biblical wisdom, spiritual reflection, and prayer can be part of the work when those elements align with your wishes and goals. Faith integration is never required, and people from varied backgrounds are welcome.
Counseling also makes room for honest spiritual struggle. A person may believe deeply and still feel anxious, angry, or confused. Emotional pain is not evidence of weak faith.
- You decide the role faith plays
- Church-related hurt is welcome here
- Conviction and psychology both respected
