01 · Experience with a human touch

More than 40 years of thoughtful counseling

Dr. Chet Weld has spent more than four decades helping couples and individual adults work through relationship concerns, anxiety, discouragement, anger, grief, life transitions, and questions of meaning.

His manner is warm and conversational while keeping each session connected to the concerns and progress that matter to the client. He listens for both the difficulty and the strengths already present.

  • Approved Clinical Supervisor
  • Tucson practice for adults and couples

02 · Training with practical purpose

An approach tailored to the person or couple

Dr. Weld draws from cognitive-behavioral, family systems, dialectical behavioral, solution-focused, narrative, and other counseling models. Rather than assuming one method fits everyone, he uses the principles relevant to the person, the concern, and the goals.

A central part of his approach is looking for capacity in each person. Counseling does not ignore responsibility or harm, but it resists reducing anyone to their hardest chapter.

  • Conversational but never directionless
  • Change you can notice in daily life
  • Feedback about the process welcomed
